at the youth level the option out of the pistol spread option  has been our most productive play. On most days it is impossible to defend especially with the defense so spread out due to our formations.

Chance favors the prepared mind!!

PistolProdigy - How do you get the opposing defense to respect your spread formations? I coach for a youth league and most of the time when we go 4 wide the 2 slot guys are left alone.. at the youth level it's not easy to just throw a quick screen or slant to them either :( any suggestions?

Swing passes to the slots usually do the trick.  Easy pass to complete and makes the defense have to cover the slot with the end or a linebacker.
